Giles Lyon, Maler aus New York hat dieses Bild 2002 gemalt. Es hängt aktuell aktuell im Hudson Valley Center of Contemporary Art. Besonders gefällt mir die Sogwirkung der einzelnen Elementen, welche sich zwangsläufig auch beim Betrachter einstellt.

Super coole Idee einen alten Baumstamm wieder in einen neuen Baum zu verwandeln. Dieser steht in NYC in einem schmalen Grünstreifen entlang der Houston Street. Leider war der Künstler nicht zu ermitteln.

Super cool idea to transform an old trunk into a new tree. This one you can find a small green area along Houston street in lower Manhattan. Unfortunately we couldn´t identify the artist.

Gestern ging das Festival of Lights in Berlin zu Ende. Tolle Installationen und Lichtshows sorgten für großartige Stimmung in ganz Berlin. Das Wetter spielte dieses jahr auch weitgehend wieder mit. Also nächstes Jahr bitte wieder.

Yesterday the Festival of Lights in Berlin finished this years program. Great installations and light shows has been the reason for awesome atmosphere throughout Berlin. The weather was mostly with all the visitors. So  – next year again please.

Viele tolle Installationen, Gebäude oder Denkmäler erstrahlen nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit in tausenden Farben, angestrahlt von leistungsstarken Beamern. Nutzen Sie die letzten warmen Tage des Herbstes und genießen Sie Berlin in einem besonderen Licht.

Until October 19th you can join the Festival of Lights in Berlin. Lot´s of installations, building and monuments are illuminated after sunset. The are lighted in thousands of colors what comes from powerful beamers. We recommend to use the last warm days of the autumn season to enjoy Berlin in this special light.

Noch bis 19. Oktober kann im Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City eine Retrospektive der Arbeiten von Jeff Koons sehen. Tolle Objekte und auch für den nicht Jeff Koons Kenner eine Zusammenfassung seiner Arbeiten. Dabei ist auch der Knetgummi-Berg (Abbildung) was sicherlich nicht zu den bekanntesten Werken des Künstlers zählt. In jedem Fall sehenswert.

Until October 19th you can see at the Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC a retrospective of Jeff Koons. Great works and even for the non Jeff Koons experts a survey of his different objects. Part of it is also the modeling hill (picture) what is probably not the most famous piece of art of him. In every case – a must see.

Die Galerie Melissa, ein Schuhgeschäft in New York City, hat eine wirklich spaktuläre Innendekoration. Blumen aus farbigen Plastikfolien hängen an Netzen von der Decke herab und bilden ein außergewöhnliches Raumerlebnis. Sehenswert!

The gallery Meslissa, a shoe shop in NYC, has a really spectacular decoration. Flowers made from colored plastic film hang on nets from the ceiling and create an outstanding space experience. Worth seeing!

Zaha Hadid hat diese Brücke aus Edelstahl für die London Design Week designt. Im Innenhof des Victoria und Albert Museum überspannt die Brücke den Teich und bietet in jeder Ecke einen anderen Blickwinkel auf Spiegelungen, Farben und Formen.

Zaha Hadid designed this kind of bridge made from stainless steel what was shown during the London Design Week. At the courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum the bridge spanned over the pool and creates different reflection, colors and shapes from any angel of the garden.
