Gestern ging das Festival of Lights in Berlin zu Ende. Tolle Installationen und Lichtshows sorgten für großartige Stimmung in ganz Berlin. Das Wetter spielte dieses jahr auch weitgehend wieder mit. Also nächstes Jahr bitte wieder.
Yesterday the Festival of Lights in Berlin finished this years program. Great installations and light shows has been the reason for awesome atmosphere throughout Berlin. The weather was mostly with all the visitors. So – next year again please.

Until October 19th you can join the Festival of Lights in Berlin. Lot´s of installations, building and monuments are illuminated after sunset. The are lighted in thousands of colors what comes from powerful beamers. We recommend to use the last warm days of the autumn season to enjoy Berlin in this special light.
Noch bis 19. Oktober kann im Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City eine Retrospektive der Arbeiten von Jeff Koons sehen. Tolle Objekte und auch für den nicht Jeff Koons Kenner eine Zusammenfassung seiner Arbeiten. Dabei ist auch der Knetgummi-Berg (Abbildung) was sicherlich nicht zu den bekanntesten Werken des Künstlers zählt. In jedem Fall sehenswert.

Part of it is also the modeling hill (picture) what is probably not the most famous piece of art of him. In every case – a must see.

Zaha Hadid hat diese Brücke aus Edelstahl für die London Design Week designt. Im Innenhof des Victoria und Albert Museum überspannt die Brücke den Teich und bietet in jeder Ecke einen anderen Blickwinkel auf Spiegelungen, Farben und Formen.
Zaha Hadid designed this kind of bridge made from stainless steel what was shown during the London Design Week. At the courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum the bridge spanned over the pool and creates different reflection, colors and shapes from any angel of the garden.
Am meisten faszinieren mich die Designs, die durch Zufall entstehen und an dem jeder mitwirken kann. Dieser Mülleimer in der Nähe des Mauerparks wächst durch eine große Anzahl von Menschen, die alle ihre eigenen Ideen haben, wo der Müll am besten hält. Super.

Der amerikanische Künstler Dale Chihuly hat in London seine Sonne installiert. Diese besteht aus 1300 Glaselementen, die mundgeblasen sind. Super angeleuchtet in der Nacht. Sie war unter anderem schon im Botanischen Garten in New York und in Montreal zu sehen. Wo auch immer Sie die Möglichkeit haben Arbeiten von Dale Chihuly zu sehen – Anschauen!
The american artist Dale Chihuly shows one of his installation currently in London. The Suns consist of 1300 hand blown glass elements and is super illuminated at night. Just the sun at night. This great piece of art was already shown in New York and Montreal for instance. Wherever you have the possibility to see one of Dale´s work – you must take a view.

Die Londoner haben es geschafft ein neues Geschäfts- und Wohnviertel entstehen zu lassen, dass von den Menschen super angenommen wird. Dazu trägt auch das Design der Wege und Plätze bei. Hier kann man super flanieren.

Kürzlich ware wir in Bilbao und schon der Flughafen zeigt die Wandlung einer Industriestadt zu einem Mekka für Kunst und Architektur. Das freitragende Dach erinnert an einen luftigen Pavillon neben einem Gartenhaus. Schöne Aussicht auf die vorbeiziehenden Wolken inklusive.
Recently we visited Bilao and just the airport shows the changing of the city over the last 20 years. The former industriell city is now a mecca for art end architecture. The cantilever roof is like a breezy pavilon close to a summer house. Inclusive the nice view on the passing clouds.
