Kunst im öffentlichen Raum ist immer gern gesehen, weil kostenlos und für jedermann zu besichtigen. Ein großartiger Vertreter dieser Art von Kunst ist das Duo Christo und Jean-Claude. Unvergessen für uns Berliner war der eingehüllte Reichstag. Aber auch die Projekt „The Gates“ im Central Park von New York oder „Umbrella“ gleichzeitig in den USA und Japan sind noch jedem im Gedächtnis. An genau dieses Projekt mußte ich denken, als ich die bunten Regenschirme vor dem Hauptbahnhof in Hannover kürzlich sah. Leider ist mir der oder die Künstler unbekannt. Besonders an einem so strahlenden Sonnentag, erscheinen die Farben der Schirme noch kräftiger und intensiver. Ein permanenter Wechsel der Farben, Licht und Schatten und der Perspektiven überrascht jeden Betrachter, der sich etwas Zeit zum Hinschauen nimmt.

Art is public space is always what people like, because it´s free of charge and anybody can join it. An awesome artist of this kind is the duo Christo and Jean-Claude. Unforgetable for each Berliner has been the wrapped Reichstag. Furthermore most of you will also remember to the project „The Gates“ in the New Yorks Central Park or the „Umbrella“ waht happend at the same time in the USA and Japan. Exactly this was the project I remembered when I saw the colorful umbrellas hanging in a tree in fromt of the main station in Hannover. Unfortunately the artist is unknown. Especially on a sunny day like when I was there the colors are more intensive and more powerful. It´s a permanent change of colors, light and shade and the perspective if you take the time and walk around.
